How to Solve a
Rubix Cube
Ever wondered how to solve a rubix cube? Solving the
rubix cube is by no means an easy task. In fact, most people this task is
so hard, that they quit after merely a few days of trying to solve it. If these simple methods are learned, you may
find that solving a rubix cube is not as scary as it first seems to be.
The easiest way to solve the rubix cube in a legit
manner was developed by David Singmaster, which recommended that the cube be solved layer by layer: first by solving the top layer,
followed by the middle layer, and lastly the bottom layer. This technique is very organized and easy to understand,
with just some memorization required. If you practice with this technique, you will be able to solve the rubix cube in mere minutes. The
three main methods for how to solve a rubix cube are:
The Corners method: The intention of this system is to change all the corner pieces in the correct positions and
orient them correctly. After the corner pieces are correct, the rest of the cube can be solved logically and
without changing the position of the already solved corners.
The Cross method: this method is opposite of the corners method. The rubix cube can be solved very fast if you form
a cross figure in the middle of the first face. This can also be thought of, if the face is turned towards you, the
middle, 12:00 cube, 3:00 cube, 6:00 cube, and 9:00 cube are all the same color, giving the “cross” figure. This
will let you to change the rest of the corner pieces with ease, after the top middle layer of the rubix cube has
been completed.
The Algorithms method: algorithm is a list of instructions for achieving solution and position from any given
state. If an algorithm is repeated enough times, the cube will return to its original state. There are many rubix
cube algorithms that can be found on the internet, to solved the rubix cube they must be learned and memorized to
effectively solve the cube. There is a different algorithm to use for each move needed to solve the
cube.
And the easiest way when learning how to solve a rubix cube is of course, cheating.
If you’re still lost after all the efforts of learning different methods, you can always break it down and assemble
it right. This is of course the fastest and the easiest way, however you might break it completely and you will
have to buy another cube. This, however, is much less impressive.
